A$AP Mob‘s highly anticipated sophomore compilation mixtape, L.O.R.D., is set to release in early March, which is right around the corner. However, with the quality of music they have put out, its hard to ever be fully satisfied with just singles and teaser videos. Thankfully, the Mob understands our impatience and surprised us last night, with the announcement of a new A$AP Ferg track, intended to quench our thirst for new music for the time being. “Pantie Lover” was the result, a three minute long Trap Lord freestyle.
In a move straight out of left field, he decided to sing-rap over Young Thug’s “Danny Glover;” opting to forgo the usual bombastic high octane barrage that has become his standard way of rapping. The beat definitely calls out to be dominated, rather than softly cuddled, but Ferg and his producer changed it enough to fit his style. It is an interesting freestyle for sure, and it continues to promote Thugga’s street anthem.
