“Rich Forever”–the title track to Rick Ross‘ 2012 free album that took vicious shots at his former collaborator, Young Jeezy–is just a distant memory now. It was announced last month that the label mates have in fact worked out their differences and are back in the studio together (on a Mike Will Made It beat for Ross’ final pre-Mastermind single no less), and today we have the finished product of the truce.

The Snowman and Ricky Rozay have worked well together in the past (see: “Luxury Tax”, Trilla), and today they attempt to re-kindle the magic on “War Ready”, which both artists must be if they plan on having successful 2014’s. Jeezy’s upcoming album has been oft-pushed back by Def Jam, which prompted a Twitter rant from the ATLien, and Rick Ross’ first two singles from Mastermind haven’t necessarily impacted radio in the fashion he may have expected them to, which may not exactly be a problem–God Forgives, I Don’t didn’t have a single that cracked the Top 40; Ross still boasted the highest first-week sales totals of his career–but it would stil behoove the MMG boss if “War Ready” were to gain significant traction heading into the final stretch.
