Kelly Rowland will no longer judge singers on X Factor USA, as it was revealed the show was given the boot by FOX after Simon Cowell decided he would not return to the show.
However, Rowland had nothing but high praises for Cowell and her time as a judge.
“You know what? It was an incredible experience and I made new friends,” Kelly said while out on the town during New York Fashion Week.
With several singing competition shows airing on several networks, competition was tough, something Rowland acknowledged.
“You’ve got to think about the fact there’s American Idol, The Voice and all these new shows that are coming up. But I have to compliment Simon because he started it all with American Idol,” she said.
As for the 32-year-old singer, don’t expect her to remain stagnant. She is working on her fifth studio album and is planning a wedding with fiance, Tim Witherspoon.
