When you’ve been putting on for your city as long as Gillie Da Kid has been reppin’ for Philly, you know what it takes to rise to prominence among stiff competition and the ills of the streets. Obviously the Major Figgas alumnus sees his same determination, hunger and incomparable Philly fightin’ spirit in newcomer Gab, as he’s wasted no time hopping on the latter’s latest remix.
“Put That On” is a standout from Gab’s latest mixtape, Don’t Say Much, a collection brash & in-your-face rhymes coupled with thumping, trunk-rattling beats. The SouthWest Philadelphia native dropped the project late last year and has been building momentum with a series of video releases to support it.
