KRS One & Ms. Melodie
Dubbed the very first hip-hop couple ever. They set the blueprint for future hip hop couples as they not only share their love for music but they were in the same group, Boogie Down Productions (BDP). They even collaborated on songs together on several BDP projects and also in the song, “Self Destruction,” a single that promotes stopping the violence. The love between them was so strong that they ended up married but things came to an end as they divorced in 1992. After they divorced, they still remain friends up until her death on July 17, 2012.
