Once again, Drake is all up in the headlines like TV’s in Ma$e’s headrests. This time it’s his attempt to air his grievances with a certain publication. And this time, I’m not too mad at him. Okay, maybe he rashly expressed that he was partly upset due to losing the cover to Phillip Seymour Hoffman, but who hasn’t said something that they regret in a whirl of frustration? He’s a man nonetheless who’s entitled to his opinions, and if you don’t agree you can take that up with him on Twitter. If you attack him for it, then you’re so far wrong. Too often, we hold celebrities on a 10 story pedestal and severely scold them for slipping time to time. Enough of Aubrey though. Here’s this week’s batch of fresh music to take your mind off of Drake, work, any amount of snow you’ve received, and too much heat you’ve “suffered” from for those in the warmer states. You know the drill: Sound off on our Twitter (@TheSource). If you can do better yourself, submit a track or video to SYLR@thesource.com (no attachments).

Swisher Jones – 21 (Birthday Song)

Although it came a few months late, Swisher gives us a celebration song of his 21st birthday as well as a big shout out to everyone else who’s reached the landmark, especially those from his Detroit hometown. And yes, it’s a freestyle over Dom Kennedy’s “Erica Pt. 2″ but it’s essentially a new song.

Meyhem Lauren – “Egyptian Musk”

New Meyhem is part of every balanced diet in the real world-“live by the sword/get sliced by the stiletto.” This single comes off of his collaborative EP with J Love called Digital Camo. And about that next Outdoorsmen project…

Wally Left – “Lovers & Homies/Hypnotize”

Today we get a 2 for 1 package from Wally over some Chuck Inglish production. The first deals with a love interest turned friend zoned misfortune and the second is possibly his adventures with his next girl. Wally’s cool pervades this one. His EP comes 2/17.

ZMoney – “I Can’t Stop” (Prod. by Odd Couple)

The Chicago rapper and restaurant owner (you read that right) was invited back to Closed Sessions’ studio to record this track that sounds like what street dreams are made of. This reminds me of Gucci when I liked his music for a very short period of time.

Devine Carama (feat. Talor Hall) – “Twinkle Twinkle WorldSTAR” (Prod. by Sir Flywalker)

The latest installment of #MusicMondays deals with the ever controversial Worldstar website. Some see it as the most convenient form of entertainment while others see it as the ultimate invasion of privacy. And others use it as a shortcut to fame, for the wrong reasons.

Relly Snow (feat. Ken Rebel) – “Cosela”

The New York emcee has had some issues with the women in his life. Then again, who hasn’t? For the same token, what girl hasn’t had issues with guys?

GrandeMarshall – “Open”

As you can tell, a lot of rappers have been releasing music this week regarding their run ins with certain women. This one details Grande’s slow stepping with this one girl since his distrust grew out of the birth of the selfie. Trill. Produced by GrandeMarshall himself.

Barney Bones – “Crash N Burn”

South Central’s emcee is here to forewarn those on the fast track to riches. Understand that money brings out who you are. It doesn’t necessarily change you.

Lil Herb – “Koolin'” (Prod. by J-BLOCKMUSIC)

G Herbo lets off a round of the grim truth in the streets on this single off his upcoming Welcome To Fazoland. This is something the mighty 300 would’ve fought to.
