Baltimore Ravens‘ star running back, Ray Rice could be in trouble with the law after an incident that occurred at an Atlantic City casino. On Wednesday morning footage of the incident surfaced on TMZ.com. In the short clip the 5’8 212lb running back is seen dragging his fiancé out of an elevator at Atlantic City’s Revel Casino. It has been reported that the two may have been involved in a physical altercation which left his fiancé, Janay Palmer, unconscious. As a result of the incident both individuals have been arrested for assault.
Things seem to be heading downhill for the Baltimore Raven’s running back. After winning Superbowl XLVII, Rice’s production on the field has dropped significantly. In 2013 Rice rushed for a mediocre 660 yards, the lowest since his 2008 rookie campaign.
Due to the incident Rice may face repercussions from the NFL league office. NFL players are notorious for their off the field incidents. The New Rochelle native, Rice could possibly receive a hefty fine or even suspension if the NFL decides to take action.
