Grizzlies Receive: Harrison Barnes
Warriors Receive: Tayshawn Prince an Tony Allen
Word is beginning to swirl around that the Memphis Grizzlies are interested in Golden State Warriors forward Harrison Barnes. The Grizzlies are looking to upgrade at the forward position considering how disappointing Tayshawn Prince has been. It would make sense for the Grizzlies to offer both Prince and guard Tony Allen for Barnes.
This potential trade would solve a lot of both teams immediate needs. It seems like Barnes’ career isn’t panning out the way everyone thought it would, as he is currently playing behind veteran forward Andre Iguodala. A switch to a bigger role for a Grizzlies squad fighting for a playoff spot could give Barnes the boost to his career that he is looking for.
On the other hand, Prince and Allen could assist in one of the Warriors biggest problems going into the final stretch of the season: defense. Sending those two players to defend guys like the unstoppable Kevin Durant would be helpful in a potential playoff matchup vs the Oklahoma City Thunder.
