I’m constantly telling the people around me that there is something brewing overseas. I’ve fallen in love with a ton of new music and I will definitely be reviewing some so that I can share the great tunes. Let me touch base on a group that may be new to you all. Rudimental is a London based quartet whose sound is a mix between experimental, hip hop, soul, jungle, and electronic music. The group consists of members Piers Agget, Kesi Dryden, Amer Amor, and DJ Locksmith.

Not only is Rudimental set to perform at Bonnaroo this June alongside the likes of Kanye West, Lauryn Hill, and Elton John, but I’ve got to mention that they’re one of the dopest groups I have heard from London in awhile. I can’t even properly describe their sound and give it justice; you’ll just have to take my word and give them a listen. Their consistency in diversifying their beat selection is what really captured me. The beats on this album are superb. They definitely have everything from the slow, trance songs to the “trunk-rattling-scare-your-neighbors” kind of beats. My favorite tracks were “Hell Could Freeze”, “Free (ft. Emeli Sande)”, “Spoons”, “Hide”, and “Baby”. If you’re open minded in regards of vibing to great music and you’re not limited to a specific genre I would suggest listening to and adding this CD to your collection.
