While Samsung made all its major announcements at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona yesterday regarding its new flagship devices including the Galaxy S5, Galaxy Gear, and Gear FIT, the mobile giant also gave access to “invite-only” media to view the live stream of its Unpacked 5 event via NYC Galaxy Studio pop-up shop. With every new product grabbing the attention of the media, one we felt stood out most and will certainly make for a great addition to the market is the company’s new Gear Fit smart band.
Designed to work along with the Galaxy S5, the Gear Fit also offers an AMOLED touchscreen panel sized at 1.84-inches with 432×128 resolution that delivers smartphone notifications and alerts. It’s also dust-proof and boasts an est. 3 days of battery life. Great for working out, being light weight, and water-resistant. Sadly, it doesn’t include a camera, a microphone, or a speaker.
Samsung has yet to release a price, but promises the Galaxy S5 and the Gear Fit will hit the market this April.
