Amerigo Gazaway is a gifted mash-up king who first laced us with his ATCQ x The Pharcyde’s – Bizarre Tribe, and is back again with side one of his Yasiin Bey x Marvin Gaye project, Yasiin Gaye. I’ve been waiting for this patiently since it was first announced and now here we go. It truly is an original (and lost) art form, blending/mash-ups. I’m personally VERY picky when sounds of my favorite artists are being messed with, but Amerigo has made the cut. Listen as Marvin’s timeless sounds get a taste of Yasiin’s contemporary hits in a way which many music fans today didn’t know existed.
