New Line Cinemas has announced that the 2013 Rated-R comedy, We’re The Millers, will have a sequel. The film studio has hired Due Date writer, Adam Sztykiel with the task of writing the sequel. Director, Rawson Marshall Thurber, is also due to return.
Your favorite marijuana-smuggling fake family is coming back to the big screen for another bad mouthed road trip. Starring Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston, Emma Roberts and Will Poulter, We’re The Millers was a big hit last summer at the box office as it raked in $150 million in the US and took in $270 million worldwide.
Sudeikis led We’re The Millers as a small-time pot dealer who teams up with a unique group of characters. They pose as a fake suburban family and attempt to smuggle over 1,000 pounds of marijuana from Mexico to the US.
Other comedy sequels set to hit theaters this year are 22 Jump Street, Think Like A Man Too, Horrible Bosses 2 and Dumb and Dumber To.
