Jeffrey Simon Hubbard sentenced to four years for the death of Kile Glover
Jeffrey Simon Hubbard, the man found guilty of killing Tameka Foster’s 11-year-old son, Usher’s stepson, Kile Glover, has been sentenced to four years in prison. Last month, Hubbard was found guilty of homicide by vessel as a result of the jet ski accident that occurred in 2012 and took the life of the young boy and also injured a 15-year-old girl.
In addition to being found guilty of homicide by vessel, Hubbard was also found guilty of serious injury by vessel, unlawful operation of a personal watercraft and boat traffic violation.
While on a group outing on Lake Lanier, Hubbard, riding a jet ski, hit Glover and the unidentified girl, who were in an inner tube. Due to his overly severe injuries, Glover was taken off of life support just six days after the incident.
“I’m disappointed that you have not accepted more responsibility for what occurred,” Judge Bonnie Oliver told Hubbard.
Simon Hubbard, Jeffrey’s father, explained how Hubbard intended to make an apology early on, however, was advised by his counsel not to go forth in doing so.
“He’s been remorseful from day one,” said Simon. “It’s been a nightmare for him for the past two years and it’s probably going to be indelibly etched in his mind for the rest of his life,” he added.
After completion of his four-year sentence, Hubbard will remain on probation for 15 years for operating the jet ski in what was described by Oliver as a “foolish” manner.
