Boosie has four years of ideas, frustration and dreams trapped in his head. And he’s letting everything go in the studio. Since his releases from prison on March 5th, Booise has released a freestyle and a new track, “Same Game.” Today, Boosie linked with partner in rhyme, Webbie, to release “Wartime.”
Over the $hop With Me-produced track, the Baton Rouge MCs rap about underworld activities that occur when the street lights come on. “At dark-time/I spark iron/I’m real sick at nightfall….for two g’s you will bleed from your head to your toe.” Boosie raps. He even gives a list of names in case one wants to validate his gangsta’.
These rhymes are pretty convincing, especially since Boosie beat a murder charge in 2012. After listening to “Wartime,” we hope that these lyrics are only entertainment. And we pray that Boosie doesn’t do anything to that would send him back to prison. Boosie, we know that you’re a real street guy. Just keep it gangsta’ over beats.
