Sacramento man been reported dead after being shot by an officer on a light rail train
A man shot by a police officer last night on a light rail train at Q and 13th in Sacramento has reportedly died from his injuries.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, was suicidal and had a knife on him during the time of the shooting. The unidentified man lunged toward the officers when they attempted to subdue him by tazering him. As a result, the man was shot by one of the officers.
Shortly after being taken to a nearby hospital, the Sacramento Police department announced that he had died from his injuries.
According to FOX 40, the officer who fired the shot at the man was not harmed.
The incident is currently under investigation.
