Piper is back for a second season.
Litchfield Penitentiary fans rejoice. Netflix released images from season 2 of their show Orange is The New Black today. The women of Litchfield prison are back at it in season 2. Taylor Schilling, who plays Piper Chapman on the series, told People Magazine, ” “In season two, we’ll see how Piper’s story continues, but the show also gets wider and deeper to tell the stories of even more of the women.”
All of the season 1 stars will be returning. New cast member Lorraine Toussaint, who plays Yvonne “Vee” parker, a former drug dealer, will join the show, From the pictures, it looks as if “Vee” will be squaring off with Red (Kate Mulgrew), the Head Chef and force of nature within Litchfield.
Season 1 left off with Piper brutally beating nemesis Kentucky in a showdown on the snowy prison field. Chapman was placed in prison after she helped smuggled drugs with ex-girlfriend Alex Vause (Laura Prepton).
