March 1st was a big day for basketball star Allen Iverson. As he celebrated the retirement of his iconic #3 jersey being raised into the rafters, the 11-time All Star will go down in history along with Julius Irving, Walt Chamberlain, Charles Barkley and others. In commemoration of the event, Reebok has created the Question Mid “Banner” for the player, releasing today.
“Words cannot express what it means to have the 76ers organization retire my jersey,” Iverson said. “And to have Reebok make the Banner Question that’s symbolic of this event makes it even more special. The Sixers and Reebok are two partners that have always had my back and for that I’m forever grateful.”
This special pair of Reebok’s are definitely a collector’s item, signifying The Answer’s time in the league. The solid Red & Blue upper is a perfect way to represent him, and the jersey mesh included on the Red upper just makes the shoe stand out even more. With a White midsole and White & Gold Hexalite detailing, these kicks are extremely limited. With only 1,996 pairs being released (1996 being the year his career began), will you be dropping $160 to have them in your collection today? No time to think, they go on sale as of 9 a.m. this morning. See more pics of the Banners below:
