TheSource.com, The SourceJames Cosby, 46, of Texas, has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his daughter, Britney, and her girlfriend Crystal Jackson.

Investigators have reason to believe that Cosby beat his daughter to death, as she appears to have died from blunt force trauma, while Jackson was shot to death. Their bodies were found in a dumpster outside of Fisherman’s Cove in Port Bolivar, Texas on March 6. According to KHOU, a beer delivery man discovered the bodies at approximately 7:30 a.m. while taking out trash.

Loranda McDonald, Britney’s mother, told KHOU that Cosby was angry with his daughter for her being gay.

He said it to me a few times that he did not like the idea of her being gay,” said McDonald.

Evidence indicates that the two women, who were both 24 years old, may have been murdered at Cosby’s Houston home.

After questioning Cosby after a candlelight vigil that was held in the women’s honor, the investigators’ suspicion rose.

Anytime you have a crime like this, you want to talk to the family, co-workers, friends, to gain any information you can, and during that interview, pretty much it became an investigation,” said Galveston County Sheriff Henry Troschesset. “When we went to the residence to talk to him, some of the things we saw there, it increased and went further. We got a search warrant for the residence and our crime scene investigators were there last night, and after the event at the park. We drove him down to talk to us at the Sheriff’s Office.”

Despite Cosby’s thumbprint having been found at the crime scene in Bolivar, Cosby is not cooperating with authorities and they do not currently have a motive.

According to Troschesset, Cosby has a criminal background.

From my understanding he got out of prison in October. I believe he is a registered sex offender,” said Troschesset.

Cosby is being held in the Galveston County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
