This queen made her film debut in the racially charged movie, Jungle Fever as she played a waitress named LaShawn, who’s character disapproved of Wesley Snipes character Flipper and Annabella Sciorra‘s character Anglea’s relationship. The movie was directed by Spike Lee and also the feature debut of another actress who would become successful in her right Ms. Halle Berry. Ever since the release of the movie, her movie career also inspired MC Lyte and Nicki Minaj to start their own movie careers. She was the very first female rapper ever to accomplish that.
