Flavor Unit Entertainment
Soon after Living Single, she became the first rapper to start her own entertainment company, Flavor Unit Entertainment, with her high school friend, Shakim Compere. It became a movement in the 90’s as they made it a movie and music brand as they first signed fellow Jerseyan rapper the late, Apache. The company started hit shows and movies like the VH1 series, Single Ladies and the movies Cookout 1 & 2. The company recently strike a deal with Netflix where they showcase their own movies and one movie, Percentage, starring rapper Cam’ron became a hit on Netflix.
