Russ Smith, Louisville (18.3 ppg, 4.7 apg, 3.4 rpg, 2.0 spg, 40.5% 3PT):
Although his statistics are down from last year’s national championship run, Louisville senior Russ Smith is arguably playing the best basketball of his career. Smith’s game is more well-rounded, as he is moving the ball and defending at a high clip. Offense has never really been an issue for Smith, but this year has brought forth higher efficiency due in large part to better shot selection  (41% from the field in ’12-’13, 47.5% this season). It will be interesting to see if Smith could help lead the under-ranked Cardinals to their third consecutive Final Four.
