Never pick a team based on an absurd mascot
Now, most teams with a name in the “cat” or “bird” family usually are great picks but imaginative characters are a no-no. Take the Louisiana “Ragin’ Cajuns” for example, their mascot is a hot pepper (shown above) which symbolizes the quintessential spice that is used in most foods in Louisiana. Now, for those who pick teams based on the mascot, would you pick a pepper to win a tournament? Thought so?
