© Al Powers, PowersImagery.comThis past weekend DJ Afrojack, YG and Skrillex all performed in Las Vegas. On Friday, Mar. 21, Afrojack took to the DJ booth at Hakkasan Las Vegas Nightclub at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino for the first time and put on a set guests would never forget. Arriving around 12:30 a.m., Afrojack was escorted to the main stage, where the packed nightclub eagerly awaited his debut. About an hour later, the cheering died down as fans hushed to hear the first moments of the Dutch sensation’s set. The global icon kept the crowd mesmerized not only with his beats, but with his special surprises–including the appearance of two male contortionists who wowed the crowd with their jaw-dropping moves, a first for Hakkasan Nightclub. Adding to the first-of-its kind experience, Hakkasan Nightclub unveiled two new LED screens on the suspended performance stage, displaying intricate graphics and some of the artist’s lyrics, further mesmerizing the crowd.

On March 22, LIGHT was the only place to be, as six-time Grammy-Award winning Skrillex took over the nightclub. Upon arriving in Vegas, Skrillex and a large group of friends immediately headed to star Chef Akira Back’s Kumi Japanese Restaurant and Bar where they feasted on a decadent spread of Back’s greatest hits. Then it was off to a packed house at LIGHT where thousands of dedicated Skrillex fans awaited. Dressed in his signature all black, the bass master then hopped in the DJ booth at 1 a.m. and destroyed the decks, playing an explosive bass-intensive set that quaked the dance floor. He also dropped a few of classic and new songs including the smash hit “Bangarang,” “Stranger,” “Ease My Mind,” and “Recess” off his new album. During his set, fans were also treated to breathtaking choreographed performances by LIGHT’s Cirque du Soleil artists, who mesmerized guests above the dance floor and throughout the venue. After an electrifying, high energy set Skrillex, continued the party with friends in his room.

The west coast was definitely in the building as young, hip-hop star YG performed live at HAZE at ARIA last night. The “My Hitta, My Hitta” artist and his entourage arrived at HAZE at 1 a.m. and posed for pics on the red carpet. Inside, YG and friends were escorted to two exclusive VIP tables behind the DJ Booth where they took in the scene before his big performance. Then at 1:30 a.m., YG’s friend and super producer, DJ Mustard (of “Rack City,” “Paranoid” and “Show Me” fame) jumped in the booth and took over the ones and twos to hype up the at-capacity crowd. After Mustard’s five-minute pre-show, YG joined him on stage and the entire nightclub erupted with screaming and applause for him. Hard core fans loudly sang every word to each song he performed during his set. YG kept the energy going as he danced for the crowd and performed club bangers including “My Hitta, My Hitta,” “Who Do You Love,” “Left, Right” and “Paranoid” by fellow Cali rapper Ty Dolla $ign. After a fun-filled night, he returned to his table to celebrate with Hennessey, before leaving with his friends.
