Last but certainly not least, we have to include this original diva who also knew what it means to be a boss the one and only, Queen Latifah. She and Diana have some things in common like they are both actresses in their own right, they both were nominated for Academy Awards, they both came from hard beginnings growing up and they are both talented women. Latifah paved the way for not only female rappers but also women in hip hop to become bosses in their own right as she made history as she became the face of CoverGirl, making the conversion from rapping to acting and owning her own entertainment company. Just like when Diana discovered The Jackson 5, Latifah discovered singer, Monica, who has become successful in her own right. She is the true embodiment of what it means to have female empowerment.
