On April 8th, hip hop’s most unlikely duo, Freeway and Girl Talk, will bring forth their highly imaginative and anticipated mixtape, Broken Ankles. After finding himself with over seventy beats, Girl Talk approached Freeway to discuss a possible collaborative project. A few months later and Broken Ankles has arrived, featuring five brand new tracks, with features from Waka Flocka Flame, Young Chris, and Jadakiss.
The most recent single released from the project, “I Can Hear Sweat,” includes a guest appearance from Jadakiss and is a bombastic journey through the streets. Both emcees bring their a game gangsta vibes to the song, each with trading lyrical heavy verse back and forth. Girl Talk’s signature fast paced production is present, giving Freeway a dizzying track to spit over. Definitely a top notch song that should get you excited on the impending EP, set to drop on the 8th.
