More candid 50

50 Cent‘s recent string of interviews have begun competing with themselves for which clip contains the most hilarious, blunt moment from the former G-Unit general. There was the “expired milk” comment 50 used on Tony Yayo, the “lazy” jab he gave Lloyd Banks, the playful uppercuts he threw to Steve Stoute and the belittling of Diddy‘s music career that occurred–ironically enough–on The Breakfast Club‘s first live stream on Revolt TV.

This time around, speaking to the UK division of MTV, Curtis was asked about Kanye’s polarizing recent album, Yeezus, and 50 was slightly conflicted on how he felt about the effort.

That last record, to be honest, I’m not playing it right now. I still play Flashing Lights, Gold Digger and that whole (College Dropout) project. But some of the new stuff is so creative and feels like he’s trying to create a whole new sound. It sounds scrambled… radio is going to play dance music, EDM – you got a lot of stuff happening in music culture that’s influencing a lot of R&B music to that tempo. It doesn’t feel like Hip-Hop to me, it feels like a fusion of something else, like a weird combination of dance music sounds and stuff.

Still, 50 continued to allude to the fact that unlike most other rapper, Kanye is a true creative and an artist, and its his job to experiment and push the boundaries, but we’re most certain that Yeezus isn’t Fif’s favorite Yeezy album.

50’s own new album, Animal Ambition, is set to be released on June 3rd.
