In case you were wondering.

Yesterday, news broke that shortly after celebrating the 20th anniversary of his era defining, once-in-a-generation caliber debut album, Illmatic, Nas would be heading back into the studio to continue recording and production of his new album, the first since 2012’s Life Is Good, with No I.D., Timbaland and Swizz Beatz.

Today, a rumor broke on the internet that Nas had “confirmed” his new album would be called Trillmatic. If one were to assume the rumor was actually true, there could be validity to the claim: Nas put out Illmatic in 1994, and Stillmatic in 2001, and Trillmatic (Tri-Illmatic) would merely be the third installment in the trilogy, but in real life, that’s not the case.

We just reached out to Nas’ management, and they were quick to reply that is not the name of Nas’ new album. Nice try, internet.
