Yesterday, in preparation for the upcoming 24 Hour Plays in Los Angeles on June 20, 2014, Montblanc and Urban Arts Partnership hosted their 2nd annual Young Auditioners Program at ArTES High School in San Fernando, CA.
Twenty theater students attended the audition which was judged by a panel of 24 Hour Plays participants which included Ashley Fink (Glee), Tracie Thoms (Annie), Michael Ealy (Almost Human) and Gillian Jacobs (Community). The students were very excited for the process, taking selfies with all the celebrities and accepting positive feedback on their performances. The audition process lasted around three hours and the panel picked two senior students – Alexia Cardenas and Oskar Guzman. Both will join an all-star roster of celebrity participants to perform during the 24 Hour Plays on June 20th at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica.
Later in the evening, Montblanc and Urban Arts Partnership hosted their annual Announcement Party at the Montblanc boutique in the Beverly Center. Influencers and cast members attended and were all in great spirits. The President and CEO of Montblanc North America, Mike Giannattasio, introduced the President of Urban Arts Partnership, Philip Courtney, who then introduced Wilmer Valderrama, Michael Ealy,Ashley Fink and Gillian Jacobs who cheerfully announced this year’s wonderful 24 Hour Plays cast that will be performing in the 24 Hour Plays on June 20th in Los Angeles.
The actors who will be participating in the 24 Hour Plays are Alanis Morissette (Weeds), Alicia Witt (Justified), Andra Day (The Gap summerloves cover girl as Warner Bros artist), Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect), Amaury Nolasco (Prison Break), Ashley Fink (Glee), Constance Zimmer (House of Cards), David Krumholtz (This is the End), Danny Pudi (Community), Gavin Rossdale (Bling Ring), Gillian Jacobs (Community), Jason Ritter (Parenthood), John Cho (Star Trek), Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Judy Greer (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy), Kelly Osbourne (E! Fashion Police), Michael Ealy (Almost Human), Michelle Trachtenberg (Killing Kennedy), Ramon Rodriguez (Need for Speed), Retta (Parks and Recreation), Rosie Perez (Artistic Board Chair, The Counselor), Sasha Alexander (Rizzoli & Isles), Seth Green (Robot Chicken), Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect), Tracie Thoms (Annie) and Wilmer Valderrama (That 70’s Show).
