12 Things We Have Learned From The 2014 NBA Playoffs So Far

Playoff Miami Heat > Regular Season Miami Heat

NBA, Heat, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Miami

Remember when everyone accused the Miami Heat of cruising during the regular season? Sorry to break it to you but they definitely were cruising. And there’s nothing that anyone can do about it.

The three other remaining teams in the playoffs, Indiana, San Antonio and Oklahoma City, have each lost at least five games this postseason. Now we all know that the Eastern Conference is cupcake city this year compared to the West, but it doesn’t matter for the Heat. Miami has lost one game and in that one game, the Nets made 15 threes at Barclays in Game 3 of the second round. This was also against the Nets team that everyone said the Heat would have problems with because they swept Miami during the regular season.

LeBron James is back in the possessed mode that he has been in the two previous post seasons, which means everyone in his path is in trouble. If we have learned anything from the Heat this year, don’t judge them on anything that happens during the regular season. The postseason Miami Heat is a different animal that you just don’t see during the regular season.

Let’s also keep in mind one of the most interesting stats in sports: the Miami Heat are 13-1 in playoff series since the trio of James, Wade and Bosh have joined forces. Best of luck to the opposition.
