We’re celebrating the legacy of one of the most important figures in American and world history.

In honor of today being Malcolm X‘s 89th birthday, we’ve changed our Twitter icon to his very own Source cover from 1990, in celebration of his legacy. Malcolm X remains a huge influence on all facets of modern society not just in America, but internationally, and he is as important to our culture today as he was 50 years ago when he was a major influence and played several pivotal and imperative roles in the Civil Rights Movement.

Malcolm X was and remains a huge influence on Hip-Hop, considering everyone from Killer Mike & KRS-One to Spike Lee & David Banner have admitted to Malcolm X’s legacy and movement being huge influences not just on their careers, but on their core values and their personal lives.

Malcolm X’s Estate & X Legacy, LLC is represented by The Northstar Group and L. Londell McMillan. Next year, please join us all in celebrating his 90th birthday and the 50th anniversary of his untimely passing. His legacy and sacrifice lives on forever.
