Slight setback for the Pacers.

Paul George is having a pretty good postseason, and despite his team struggling to get to the Eastern Conference Finals, they found themselves in a decent position, with home-court advantage, and a 1-0 series lead over the reigning champion Miami Heat heading into Game 2 at home.

Things took a turn for the worse in the second half of last night’s game, in which Dwyane Wade & Lebron James led a successful Heat charge, evening up the series at 1 apiece, and delivering an accidental but considerable blow to the Pacers’ outlook for Game 3.

Other than having to travel to Miami for the next two games, the Pacers will face another obstacle, as Paul George has been diagnosed with a concussion by the team’s doctor. Under the new NBA concussion protocol, a player must be approved by an NBA doctor and be symptom-free before he returns to the court. The next game in the series, Game 3, will be on Saturday, so at least George has a longer-than-usual recovery period.

It was during this play, involving Dwyane Wade, that George suffered his injury.
