Another tragic Hollywood crime story.
Actor Michael Jace of “The Shield” was formally charged with one count of murder in the shooting death of wife, April Jace said the prosecutor’s spokeswoman said Thursday.
April Jace, 40, died from multiple gunshot wounds, according the preliminary autopsy results. She was found dead in her Los Angeles home Monday night The death was ruled a homicide by the Los Angeles County coroner, said Deputy Chief Coroner Ed Winter.
Friends have suggested domestic abuse in the marriage however, investigators have found no formal reports between the husband and wife, according to CNN.
According to the report, the couple’s two children were in the home at the time of the murder. They were taken to a police station and then handed over to a representative of California’s Department of Children and Family Services.
Michael Jace, 51, is expected to make an appearance in a LA courtroom Thursday afternoon. His bail is currently set at $1 million.
