According to ESPN.com’s Marc Stein, the Memphis Grizzlies are interested in the coaching services of current ESPN color commentator Jeff Van Gundy.

With their current coach Dave Joerger expected to be named the new head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves, it is believed that Memphis would like to tap Van Gundy with the dual role of Coach and Team President
Van Gundy last coached in 2007, and was fired by the Houston Rockets and then became a broadcaster on ESPN.
It is also believed that should Joerger bolt and Van Gundy not become a viable option, Los Angeles Clippers Assistant Coach Alvin Gentry and last year’s NBA Coach of the Year, George Karl are also likely candiates.
