In a prime example of “things that make you guy WTF? The White Hours has inadvertently revealed the identity of one of its top officers stationed in Afghanistan.  On Sunday The White House released a list of officials who participated in a military briefing with President Obama, who made a surprise visit to Afghanistan over Memorial Day weekend.  The list contained 15 names including one who was listed as “chief of station” a term used for the top CIA officer in whatever country they are referring to.

It’s unclear what led to the name being mistakenly listed on such a critical and available to the press and public document.  The gaffe was discovered when a reporter for the Washington Post brought it to the attention of an administration official who at first thought it to be no issue since the list would obviously have been vetted, right?  No other publications have released the individuals name and it seems as if the information is not accessible via web search.  There is yet to be word on whether there will be some sort of investigation into the matter but we will keep you posted as more details surface.
