Doper Jones, L.E.S.(Lower East Side, Ny) artist and daughter of jazz musician Denis Charles, has released a video for her popular single, “Fuckin Hands”.In the night I’ll be your teddy bear/ In the morning, I won’t be thereThe video was filmed, directed and edited by Destiny Mata. Mata is a street photographer who is credited on album artwork for Duke Da God and Araabmuzik. She also directed the Wavy Spice aka Princess Nokia video for “Bitch I’m Posh” in Central Park circa 2012.Mata and Jones, both native New Yorkers and long time residents of the Lower East Side, collaborated on this “straight DIY” video with no funding and most of the footage shot in Jones’ bedroom.“Growing up in New York a lot of brainstorming and ideas came out of chilling in a friends room,” Mata said, “and that’s where the creativity usually sparks.”See the video here and more of Destiny Mata’s work on Tumblr.
