All hail, Diamond D. The legendary producer uses his professional vision to re-imagine the larger than life Nottz produced single, “Boyz II Men,” off of Gods In The Spirit. Replacing the horns with a more Oriental feel, Diamond D makes the lines of Blu and Nitty Scott, MC more of a lesson in the dojo to a young student rather than a proclamation from the throne. Sorry if you thought the single title misled you into thinking a new track from the RnB group had surfaced. But Blu does make good use of it by addressing his pupil as “boy” and “son” constantly.
The single can be found on the deluxe version of Coalmine Records’ Unearthed and the vinyl/CD versions of Gods In The Spirit. You can also expect more from Blu and Nottz in the future as they’re working on Gods In The Spirit, Titans In The Flesh.
