It’s just different.
Yesterday, it was announced that the remix to Wiz Khalifa‘s buzzing single, “We Dem Boyz”–which is currently anchoring the push to his third album, Blacc Hollywood, due out later this year–will feature Nas. Shortly after that, Wiz Khalifa took to Instagram to post a short video clip of Nas–presumably in the studio–vibing out to the remix to the song, which sounds quite different from the original. The chorus is slowed down considerably, and the beat isn’t nearly as upbeat as the one Detail originally produced for the song. While we don’t catch any of Nas’ verse, it’s interesting to see that Wiz actually changed the sound of his single for the remix–which is quite rare these days–but we’ll have to wait and see what God’s Son sounds like on it.
