Be very afraid.

Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony are Top 10 NBA players. Better yet, they’re top 5 NBA players. With averages of 27/7/6 and 27/8/3 respectively, these two–who were both selected in the NBA Draft of 2003–instill fear in any and every NBA opposing NBA team on any given night.

According to several sources, there is a very real possibility that they could play for the same team next year.

Melo is playing for a Knicks squad that looked very promising upon his arrival, but has experienced several fatal moments of turbulence, including the firing of their head coach (twice), and the decline in health of several important players, including former MVP candidate Amare Stoudemire.

Now, according to ESPN, Phil Jackson has given Melo until June 23rd to decide whether or not he will be a member of the Knicks. If he chooses to walk away from New York, Pat Riley will reportedly make a serious run at Carmelo Anthony, and add to his already stellar starting lineup, which currently boasts Lebron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. Sources familiar with the brewing situation, namely, Sam Amick of USA Today Sports, are pointing to the fact that Lebron is worried about Chris Bosh‘s steadily declining output and Wade’s physical condition moving forward past this season.

Is there a team in the NBA that will be able to beat a starting 5 of Mario Chalmers, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Lebron James and Chris Bosh?
