Summer smash?
Atlanta’s Mike Will Made It teams up with Lil’ Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, and Future for a single that serves as a preview of what to expect for his debut major label album, Est. In 1989 (Pt. 3), out later this year on Interscope Records.
On the single, premiered by DJ Envy, the 3 star rappers plead their case for the world over melodic undertones that dance over the driving Mike Will sound we’ve grown to love and respect.
The Atlanta native, who went from producing Gucci Mane mixtapes to producing a chart-topping Miley Cyrus album, had a memorable 2013, and is looking to continue his reign as hip-hop’s go-to producer.
Est. in 1983 Pt. 3 may be what music listeners today need as we are constantly ambushed with new music and sound; and from Mike Will’s unique background from dance music, to country hits- the library of material we’ve witnessed from him may be exactly what we’ve been waiting for for some time; perfectly fitting our time.
