Durant x PerkinsThough Kevin Durant was named the 2014 NBA MVP, there’s still ways he can improve, at least his teammate Kendrick Perkins thinks so.

“I feel like he could get stronger, in my opinion,” Perkins said. “I think that would help him a lot. I told him all the good and great players that played the game, from Jordan, Kobe, LeBron, they all put size on them, and it helped them….

“Seems like there was possessions he was tired,” Perkins said of Durant. “But, like I said, I think that’s (when) getting in the weight room plays a factor. Cause then you could let your body take over.”

Perkins isn’t the first person to make this suggestion.  Durant’s lanky frame has been the topic of discussion before especially when compared to the freight train that is LeBron James.  Durant is dangerous on the wing but since he’s increasingly becoming the target of defenders adding some weight could help his post game and add variety to his skill set.  Now if we want to tackle what Kendrick Perkins can do to improve his game, that’s a whole other story.
