Fashion crisis? Considered it handled!
Actress Kerry Washington and retailer The Limited are working together to release a clothing line that has been inspired by Washington’s character Olivia Pope’s wardrobe.
The new mom told Women’s Wear Daily, “People who love the look of the show can now step into this world in a way that is affordable and accessible because not everybody can afford to have the clothes they see on the show.”
Below is a sketch drawn by The Limited of a wide-leg trouser and a tailored blouse which were worn on Washington in “Scandal” – not to mention that lovely fitted trench coat.
Although, on the set of “Scandal” Kerry is seen wearing high-end designers such as Prada and Dolce & Gabbana, she also has a few other favorite designers.
“I don’t gravitate toward any one designer because I think of fashion as the costume of the everyday woman. The Armani house was one of the first ones to dress me. Jason Wu is a dear friend of mine, as is Tory Burch. I am a big fan of Alexander Wang.”
Furthermore, the items will be released in late September starting at $49 at The Limited and will be available both in stores and online.
