Unlikely, but potent tandem.
We surely didn’t see this coming, but we’re very glad it’s here. Young Thug and A$AP Ferg, who are both working on their upcoming albums, bring their rowdy, psychedelic and oft-high-pitched deliveries and demeanor to join forces with Freddie Gibbs‘ hard-nosed, blue collar workhorse mentality on the Salva & Nick Hook-produced “Old English”. The instrumental is punishing, and had it not been for the three stellar verses these craftsmen placed on it, it probably would’ve been the highlight of the record. Thug takes care of the hook duties in addition to his opening verse, and Gangsta Gibbs and Ferg. Well, listen below.
