Though names like Mark Jackson and George Karl were mentioned, the Nets zeroed in on Lionel Hollins.  Hollins was the only person they met with and after talks went well they came to an agreement today.

Hollins hasn’t been on the sidelines since late May of 2013, when his Memphis Grizzlies made franchise history by reaching the Western Conference Finals for the first time.  Though he was highly praised for the Grizzlies success and tough defense, he did not return because of “philosophical differences”.  It’ll be interesting to see how things work with the Nets, Hollins is no doubt a great man for the job.
