New Atlanta isn’t holding back

An accent or flow can get old after a while. They’re gimmicks and gimmicks don’t last. But Southerner Scotty ATL is much more than a drawl. Scion AV agrees, at least. He recently put out an EP, On The road 2 Spaghetti Junction, with the company to serve as a prelude to his following project, Spaghetti Junction. DJ Burn One and the 5PMG team produced most of the songs, while Childish Major and Prolyfic on the remaining two tracks. Scotty was also blessed with verses from Run The Jewels’ Killer Mike, Trouble, and Rich the Kid.

The EP accomplishes what most artists should aim to do on an EP, showcase that Scotty ATL can rap with a variety of sounds but sticking to one story–his life. Soctty has been steadily improving his craft from being featured on our online columns, Support Your Local Rapper and Never On Schedule, But Always On Time, and he’s only going to get better. He may have started by using Rap as an outlet for his pain and by the look of this EP, he won’t be changing as the money comes in. That’s always a good thing.
