For real.

The Dream has been extremely quiet as of late, but that should come as a surprise to very few. Back in June of last year, after Dream’s first-week numbers showed he had only sold roughly 43,000 copies of a pretty highly-anticipated album (IV Play), he took to Twitter to defend his place in the industry after a fan clowned him for said numbers.

Does that sound like a man eager to get back into the studio and make more music? No, but in fact, Mr. Terius Nash appears to have been working diligently behind the scenes. The word’s been out for a little while now that he’s working on his new album, Fruition, but with an ambiguous announcement yesterday, The Dream will be releasing a project today titled Royalty: The Prequel. He revealed the cover art and tracklist to the EP on his Instagram account, and teased the release date with the caption 777. Nash was born in 1977–which, incidentally, is the title of his last EP–and today is July 7th (7/7), so it was already apparent that he was hinting at the release date, but later on Sunday evening, The Dream announced via his site, Contra Paris, that at 7pm on 7/7 (tonight), we’ll be getting new music from Radio Killa. Check out the artwork and tracklist–sans featured artists and production credits–below.
