Casey Veggies hasn’t been heard from in quite some time, but today he’s given fans hope that his new, yet-to-be-titled album, is coming sooner than later. The Inglewood native has been teasing this song, “The Boy”–which is produced by Hit-Boy and his good friends Rey Reel and Hazebanga of HS87–for many months now, and initially, it was billed as a Casey Veggies song, produced by Hit-Boy, featuring Drake–in fact, Drizzy has played the record several times at his random late-night club DJ sessions–but the Canadian rapper/songwriter is glaringly absent from the record. Regardless, both Casey and Hit snap, and it’s summer, so don’t sweat it. Casey hasn’t released a project since dropping Life Changes at the onset of 2013, so we’re looking forward to new tunes from one of the freshest out of the West.
