If you had to start society over and pick a few rappers to recreate your perfect world, you may want to listen up to the latest single from A-Villa. The Chicago producer, who you should already be familiar with since he produced our first Masters of Ceremonies cypher, is preparing his album, Carry On Tradition (9/23), and the first single is a blueprint on many levels. It features some of Hip-Hop’s hardest hitting rappers, physically and lyrically. You could spend the rest of your life trying to figure out which one is the warrior, which is the philosopher, and which is the rebel. Or you can choose the easy way out like me and accept that Lil Fame, Cormega, and Killer Mike all have traits of each of them. A-Villa heralds the start to his campaign of raw Hip-Hop with grand horns and we’re expecting a lot more tricks up his sleeve over the summer.
You can expect Big K.R.I.T., Kool G Rap, N.O.R.E., Action Bronson, Michael Christmas, Freeway, AZ, Havoc, and 30 others on Carry On Tradition.
