It’s not as easy as it looks
Nick Young has finally spoken out on last month’s BET Awards, which featured Nicki Minaj taking shots at Iggy Azalea during her acceptance speech for the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist award. During the speech, Nicki playfully jabbed at the “Fancy” rapper, insinuating that she isn’t always the sole author of her lyrics. The internet erupted in the aftermath of the speech, causing fans of both rappers to weigh in on the supposed “beef” for most of the following week on social media.
According to Nick Young, as told to The New York Daily News while it appears fans and critics have the most to say about the situation, Iggy Azalea is actually affected by what goes on in these instances.
I had to deal with the aftermath of all that, when she came home and was going through her phones hearing everybody talking trash about her. I had to be there for her.
At least Azalea has had a successful year thus far. Her #1 single, “Fancy”, enjoyed the top spot for seven consecutive weeks.
