Drake’s skits and original songs were great but the highlight of the ESPYS was Stuart Scott being presented with the Jimmy V Perseverance Award. ESPN put together an emotional, insightful segment documenting Scott’s battle with cancer and the impact on his friends and family, most importantly his daughters.
Scott has been a staple at ESPN for 21 years but he had no better moment than when he took the stage Wednesday night and delivered an emotional and inspirational speech.

“When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer,” Scott told the audience. “You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live.”
