LeBron James has, as quietly as is humanely possible for someone of his stature, returned to be a member of The Cleveland Cavaliers. Once his decision was made, there was little question as to what would happen next. The Cavs front office was expected to put a team around him to succeed, Dan Gibson smoothed over his relationship with James, and most importantly, James kept his head down and out of the public eye, unlike the first time he switched teams in 2010.
There was one thing, however, that was still up in the air. Would LeBron return to his original jersey number, 23, or wear the 6 that he’s worn for the past four seasons, as a member of the Miami Heat.
He answered that question on Instagram today, with the following caption.
23 it is! It’s only right I go back. 2·3=6 We still family 6. #HomeTeam #StriveForGreatness
